Lesson Learned??

24 days after my surgery, I decited it was time to take my dirt bike out again. So, the day after Christmas I took it out. I had forgotten that a few weeks earlier I had unbolted my seat because I had gotten a new seat cover I was going to put on, but hadn't done yet. So I was riding down the street at a pretty good speed and of course, was wearing NO helmet. I started to lean to turn into the church parking lot when my seat started to come off. I could see I wasn't going to make the turn and knew this wasn't going to be good. I ended up ramping over the curb and landed face first on the asphalt. I quickly stood up, thinking I had gashed my head open, but just ended up with some road rash on my face, elbows, knee, and hand. After a trip to the Urgent Care I also found out I seperated my left shoulder and sprained the rotater cuff. I know I was lucky to just stand up and walk away from this, and hopefully learned my lesson to always wear a helmet.

Surgery

about an hour before surgery

My left ovarian cyst (that was a size of a softball!!)
The much smaller cyst that was on the right side

I have had an ovarian cyst for about 3 months (that I know of). I have been to the ER and two other doctors, and none of the doctors would remove it they just told me to wait it out. It has been giving me lots of pain. Last week it started to get really bad, so I called my brother-in-law that works in the OR at the hospital in Thatcher. He talked to one of the doctors who said he would remove it. So I came up early Tuesday morning and they did a CT scan and an ultra sound, and they said it was the size of a softball and it had been leaking fluid into my pelvis, which was causing alot of the pain. Dr. Carter (the coolest doc ever) said he had no idea why none of the other doctors would remove it cause it was so big. I went in for the surgery and they ended up having to take out my left ovary because the cyst was so large that there wasn't enough good tissue on the ovary. They also removed a little cyst that was on my right ovary. I spent the night at the hospital last night and I will be staying at my parents house till Thursday, then I get to go home to my own bed! I have 3 stiched up holes around my belly button that are about an inch long each. My stomach is really sore and Im in some pain, but Im so glad this has finally been taken care of!!

Hair Cut!

I have been WAY overdue for a haircut, so I finally made and appointment with Ann to get it done. It feels so much better (and it's 10 times easier to take care of). I love it!!

(I know this is pretty much a LAME post, but my life is pretty boring. Sorry, nothing exciting).
